Ellekat is a small boutique fashion store, catering for not on the high street style clothing, for individuals that want to wear something unique.

The Ellekat name comes from the owners daughters middle names Ellie and Kathryn. The client wanted something clean and smart and a mix of the two names.

Originally the name was split as two separate names but we merged into one and used a clever device to acknowledge the two names, using the ascender of the capital K to highlight the two names.

The short downward and upward strokes of the K formed an arrow bringing the two names together as one. In addition to this originally Katherine was going to be spelt Catherine with a C and so it also hints at this too.

We created the brand identity, using modified typography and created exterior signage, letterheads, business cards and clothing tags in addition to paper and linen store bags.
