VanMoof was founded by two Dutch brothers (Taco and Ties) who had disruption in their blood, invention in their DNA, and industrial design expertise in their pockets. Taco and Ties built the first iconic Standard Straight bike from scratch in just one year. Then they spent the next 7 years obsessively refining it into what it is today: the perfect city bike.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, they loved getting from A to B on two wheels, but had never found the perfect city bike. Others would have settled for less-than-perfect. Not these two. They started VanMoof, built the perfect city bike from scratch, and took it to the world.
They also have a smart bikes that uses a nice bit of clever tech, so if you forget your keys, you'll never have to fumble with 'em again, thanks to Touch Unlock technology. Their SmartBike uses Bluetooth to recognise you and you alone. Simply touch the display screen.
